A desktop time tracker for people who are uncomfortable with monitoring software — on either side of it. Screenshots are captured only if you turn them on, you can see and delete every one, and nothing is uploaded anywhere. There is no account to create and no server to trust, because in this release the app has no network client at all.

What it does today

  • Consent-first capture. Tracking and screenshots are off until someone turns them on, and the consent can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Screenshots the tracked person controls. Every screenshot is visible to the person being tracked and can be deleted by them. There is no hidden capture and no copy held anywhere else.
  • Entirely local. No cloud, no account, no sync. This release ships without a network client, so the data cannot leave the machine even by accident.
  • Idle detection you can see. When you stop working the app notices and tells you — no silently discarded time.
  • Per-app breakdown on macOS. Where the hours actually went, application by application.
  • Reports and CSV export. Summaries in the app, and a CSV you can hand to a client, an employer, or a spreadsheet.
  • Signed and notarized on macOS. It opens without a Gatekeeper warning, because Apple has checked it.

Not sure which Mac build? Apple menu → About This Mac. A “Chip” line naming an M-series processor means Apple silicon; a “Processor” line naming an Intel chip means Intel.

Why it is built this way

Most time trackers are sold to the person doing the watching. The tracked worker gets an agent they cannot inspect, uploading screenshots to a server they have no account on. That is the design decision this app declines to make.

Everything stays on the machine that produced it. If you want to share a week, you export a CSV and send it yourself. That is a smaller product, and an honest one.

Scope, plainly: version 0.1.0 is a single-user desktop app. There is no team dashboard, no administrator console, and no automatic analysis of what it records.
