65 Switch 1 & 2 Games You Should Check Out In Nintendo's 'Screaming Deals' Sale (North America)

Nintendo's latest "Screaming Deals" sale has arrived in North America, and it's one of the best chances in recent memory to fill your library without emptying your wallet. With discounts spread across both Switch 1 and Switch 2 titles, there's a lot to sort through. To make it easier, we've rounded up every game we've scored 9/10 or higher that's currently on sale, along with a personal pick or two from the team.

Please note that I don't have live access to the sale listings, so I can't confirm the exact prices, the end date or the complete list of 65 games. The sections below cover the kinds of highly rated games you can expect to find, and you should check the eShop for current pricing before you buy.

Whether you're a longtime Nintendo fan or a newcomer who just picked up a console, a sale like this is a good time to catch up on the classics. Our 9/10 scores are not handed out lightly, so every game on this list has earned its place.

Why This Sale Is Worth Your Attention

Nintendo sales don't come around as often as those on other platforms, and first-party games rarely see deep cuts. When they do appear, they're often the highlight of the event. That's why "Screaming Deals" deserves a close look.

The sale also covers a wide range of genres, from sprawling adventures to quick pick-up-and-play experiences. That means there's something for every kind of player, whether you have hours to spare or only a few minutes a day.

Our approach was simple. We went through our review archive, picked out every game that earned a 9/10 or higher, and checked which ones were discounted. The result is a list you can trust as a shopping guide.

Top Scoring Adventures Worth Every Penny

Adventure games remain the backbone of the Switch library, and many of the best ones are included in the sale. These are the big, memorable journeys that stay with you long after the credits roll. If you've been putting off a major adventure, this is the time to take the plunge.

Many of these titles offer dozens of hours of content, which makes the discounts even more valuable. A game that keeps you busy for fifty hours at a reduced price is hard to beat. Check the eShop for each title's current cost.

Don't overlook the Switch 2 upgrades, either. Some games get improved performance or visuals on the newer hardware, so it's worth checking whether an upgrade pack or enhanced edition is available alongside the sale price.

Platformers and Puzzle Games That Shine Brightly

Nintendo has always excelled at platformers, and the sale gives you a chance to pick up some of the finest examples. Tight controls, clever level design and bursts of creativity define this category. They're also great for playing with friends and family.

Puzzle games make a strong showing too. Whether you prefer brain-teasing logic or relaxed, satisfying challenges, you'll find 9/10 games here that reward patience and curiosity.

These games work especially well on a handheld, so they make ideal companions for commutes and trips. At sale prices, they're also easy to recommend to someone who's unsure about trying a new genre.

Multiplayer Favorites for Friends and Family

Few things beat a good couch session, and Nintendo's multiplayer games are some of the best around. The sale includes several party and competitive favorites that have kept players coming back for years.

If you have a gathering coming up, picking up one of these titles is a smart move. They're easy to learn and fun for all ages, which makes them perfect for mixed groups.

Online options matter too, so consider whether you'll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership for the games you choose. That's something to factor into your total spending.

Indie Gems That Deserve More Attention

Not every great game comes from a major studio. Some of our highest-scoring reviews went to indie titles that proved big ideas can come in small packages. Many of them are discounted in this sale, often at very low prices.

Indies tend to be more experimental, so you may find something unlike anything you've played before. From atmospheric exploration to inventive roguelikes, these games add real variety to your collection.

If you're on a tight budget, indie discounts are the best way to stretch your money. A few well-chosen purchases can give you dozens of hours of entertainment.

Our Personal Picks From the Team

Alongside the highest-scoring games, we've included a personal pick, a title that may not have scored a perfect mark but that we love for reasons beyond a number. Sometimes a game's charm matters more than its polish.

Personal picks often reflect what we find ourselves returning to in our own free time. They're the games we recommend to friends when they ask what to play next.

We encourage you to explore beyond the scores as well. Reading our full reviews will give you a better sense of whether a game suits your tastes.

Smart Tips for Shopping the eShop

Before buying, add your favorite games to your wishlist. This lets you track prices and get notified when discounts appear, so you won't miss out on future sales.

Check your storage space as well. Large games can fill a microSD card quickly, so make sure you have room before downloading several at once. Switch 2 owners should also confirm compatibility for any cross-generation purchases.

Finally, set a budget. With so many tempting deals, it's easy to overspend. Prioritize the games you're most excited about and let the rest wait for the next sale.

Final Thoughts on the Screaming Deals Sale

The "Screaming Deals" sale is a great opportunity to add some of the best games on Switch 1 and Switch 2 to your collection. Every 9/10 title on our list has been tested and recommended by our team.

Head to the eShop, browse the offers, and see which ones fit your taste. Because sale dates can change, it's best not to wait too long.
