The Vegas Golden Knights are a professional ice hockey team based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The team was founded in 2017, and they play in the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). In their short history, the Golden Knights have become one of the most successful expansion teams in league history.

In their inaugural season, the Golden Knights shocked the hockey world by making it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final. Vegas won their first three playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, and Winnipeg Jets, respectively. In the Final, they faced off against the Washington Capitals, but ultimately fell short after five hard-fought games.

One of the most memorable games of that series was Game 5, which took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Golden Knights were looking to stay alive in the series, down 3-1 to the Capitals.
