The prestigious RBC Canadian Open is one of the oldest national golf championships in the world. Dating back to 1904, the tournament has welcomed some of the biggest names in golf, including Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, and Jack Nicklaus. This year's edition of the tournament was particularly special for Canadians as Nick Taylor became the first Canadian in 69 years to win his national open.

The Canadian Open took place at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ontario from June 3rd to June 9th. Nick Taylor's win came after a grueling four-hole playoff with Tommy Fleetwood. The tournament had been a closely contested affair from the beginning, with the lead changing hands multiple times. Taylor was trailing Fleetwood by one shot heading into the final hole of regulation play, but a wonderful birdie on the 18th hole saw him force a playoff.

The playoff was a tense affair, with neither player able to gain a decisive advantage. However, on the fourth hole, Taylor stepped up to hit a 72-foot eagle putt that stunned the crowd and secured a famous victory.

Taylor's victory at the Canadian Open has been hailed as a historic moment for Canadian golf. He is the first Canadian to win the tournament since 1954
