Norma Hunt: The Woman Who Has Attended Every Super Bowl
Norma Hunt is a name that may not be familiar to many people, but she is a woman who has made history in the world of football. Born in Arkansas in 1937, Norma's love for football began when she was young and attending games in the stands with her father. She continued to attend games and later met and married Lamar Hunt, the founder of the American Football League (AFL) and owner of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Norma's passion for football led to her attending every Super Bowl game since its inception in 1967. That's right - she is the only woman to have attended every Super Bowl, including the Chiefs' February win, the third in franchise history. Norma has seen the growth and evolution of the Super Bowl, from a small championship game in the early years to the global phenomenon it is today.
Not only has Norma attended every Super Bowl, but she has also been involved in the organization of the game and played an instrumental role in the early years of the AFL. She was a member of the AFL's first expansion committee and helped bring the Miami Dolphins and the Cincinnati Bengals into the league.
