Austin Reaves, a shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, recently made headlines for expressing his desire to stay with the team despite their elimination from the Western Conference Finals.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Reaves revealed that he has no intention of leaving the Lakers anytime soon. "I want to stay a Laker," he stated emphatically. "I love this team and I love playing here. I want to be a part of this organization for years to come."
Reaves had a solid rookie season with the Lakers, earning a spot in the rotation and proving himself as a reliable scoring option off the bench. He finished the season averaging 6.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting an impressive 44.4% from three-point range.
Despite the disappointment of falling short in the playoffs, Reaves remains optimistic about the future of the Lakers and his role on the team. "We have a great group of guys, and I think we can do some special things together," he said. "I'm just excited to get back to work and see what we can accomplish next season."
